He’s still a great laid back guy, He plays in a couple of bands. Keyboards. I consider him a good friend, not a nephew. Military school would not be able to put decency in Trump. As a matter of fact, when I was in the eighth grade and was considering which high school I was going to a attend one of them was a Chicago-area military academy (can’t remember which one, but my foggy memory says it started with M). ---

The rally he just had in Greensboro, NC was pretty fecking offensive. Stirring up the lies about FEMA and how the current Whitehouse is mismanaging it, etc. Talking about the devastation and using heartfelt language about how he loves them, which he delivered in monotone while staring down at his written by someone else glurge. Perhaps it’s no worse than usual but I find it extra reprehensible. ---

Point worth making–since Trump would love people to believe he went to a “service academy”: there are only five federal service academies, and they are all college level (producing commissioned officers in the US Armed Forces. Each Force has one of the five Academies). “Military schools”–which Trump attended–are **much less prestigious**. They are, as some have mentioned in this thread, high schools. You don’t need a nomination from your Senator or Representative in order to get in (as you do for the Service Academies)—you just need parents interested enough in getting you out of your household to be willing to pay the tuition. . . ETA: I see that Wikipedia uses the ‘service academy’ and ‘military academy’ terms fairly interchangeably. Point remains: the college-level five are hard to get into, and what Trump attended is NOT. ---
