Table syrup is thicker, goopier. Also, the flavor is slightly different. Plus, the table syrup flavor hangs in the mouth a bit longer. If you really like table syrup, you may or may not care for maple syrup. It’s about what you’re used to. But I know one Canadian US resident who brings real maple syrup when going to IHOP or the like. ---
