I don’t think so. Pence hasn’t 1/10 the charisma CFSG has. Had the latter been convicted of his impeachment back in January, 2020 the MAGAts would have been all butt-hurt, screaming about witch hunts and staying home election day regardless of which candidate the GOP served up. Biden would have won by an even greater margin, and the Republicans would be licking their wounds, finally convinced there are some things one just does not do, no matter how much one wants that power. ---
