Naw, they’ll have no trouble with the mental gymnastics to convince themselves that Trump’s words are the actual words of Christ / the Bible. If the religious leadership have an actual, uh, _come-to-Jesus_ moment regarding the wool pulled over their eyes, and push comes to shove, the rank and file will abandon Christianity for the religion of Trump, as [this post](https://boards.straightdope.com/t/anybody-know-an-active-q-supporter/956289/36) so elegantly predicts.
