From other threads I am informed that the fee can can be, or not be, imposed by Trump if he feels like it. I don’t see how such a thing could be applied, if not across the board. ---

I’m learning that this country is not the Democracy I’ve been led my whole life to believe. And I’ve lived through a Trump presidency! But yeah, I just don’t see how the mandate works, if not across the board. Like, it seems like too much work for a Trump administration. How many H1B visas are there every year? Does Trump apply it widely, and then grant exceptions? Or vice versa? Maybe apply it widely and then set up a bribe hotline for exemptions. ---

So in other words, when a company defies or otherwise pisses off the Orange Asshole, he’ll slap every visa holder working there with the fee.
