I know this is small potatoes, but this just irked me. I just got a settlement check from a lawsuit against Amazon Prime. However, the letter telling me what it is says, “The enclosed check is the result of a settlement reached by President Trump’s Federal Trade Commission (FTC) with [Amazon.com](http://Amazon.com), Inc. regarding Prime subscription practices.” That’s right - the orange oaf has to take credit for the actions of the FTC. Not the US FTC, _President Trump’s_ FTC. He wants to make sure you associate getting a check with him personally. Fucking bitch. ---

I read the article earlier, and it said something about a gift exchange. I got the idea that someone got a gold lamé shoe and used it as a ‘jar’ to hold candy; not that Mr. and Mrs. Potato Head were giggling at giving someone one shoe. They just wrapped up whatever was free. ---

I’ve long thought that the only class that Trump attended at the Wharton School of business was one on tariffs. And he was absent the day the professor explained that Americans pay tariffs. ---

Peter Navarro, aka “Ron Vara”, was the economist who was the big proponent of them in the first term, and he still thinks they’re peachy-keen. He was a long time talking head economist on various news programs but shockingly bad in his economic predictions to the extent it almost couldn’t be an accident that the opposite of what he predicted ended up happening quite a bit of the time. The likes of Hassett, Bessent, Peter Schiff, and others have joined him, but no idea if they actually believe it or if they’re just yes-men. Note, Hassett and Schiff are particularly known to be mathematically challenged (Hassett’s “model”, aka Excel cubic polynomial interpolator, predicted new COVID cases would drop to zero by Memorial Day 2020), so maybe they’re just really dumb. ---

Chest binders are undergarments worn by transgender persons to minimize their breasts, like spanx for the chest. Purely cosmetic. But the Trump FDA has decided they are “medical devices” and sent letters to manufacturers that they are violating the law because their products are not registered with and approved by the FDA.
