I’ve been told many women wear them for non-cosmetic purposes as well. It’s almost like they didn’t check with any women before making a decision that affects them and don’t care what women think…. ---

I think some heart surgery patients wear chest binders post-op? And of course quite a few cis women bind and flatten their breasts as a personal preference or fashion choice (e.g., flat-chested “boyish figure” clothing styles in the 1920s). ---
