trump is as vile as humans get. But Presidents have been saluting troops or coffins or … since a long time ago. I remember a RW propaganda move where they took a pic of Obama saluting, reversed it so it appeared he was using his left hand, then plastered it all over Faux as proof, _proof I say_, that Obama is an unAmerican anti-patriot. Or stupid. Or both. The hoax was easily uncovered, but of course Faux’s customers never saw any of that and probably still believe it if they remember it. ---

As I mentioned above, Fox News not only showed old “hat-less” footage on their shows, but also featured it on their website. As of now, they’ve removed the old footage from the website and have no video at all. The page is dominated by pics of the troops and the coffins, with two long-range shots of the official spectators (including the hatted Donald). No closeups of Donald in his hat. As the Tennessee Holler reported, when Fox News confessed to the “error” (sure, Fox, “an error”) they tried to make up for it by actually reading the names of the six dead service members. _ **But they didn’t show the correct video.** _ So Fox News viewers don’t know that Donald wore his hat throughout the transfer. Trump has fired NTSB board member Todd Inman, without cause. Inman is the second board member to be fired, as Trump tries to reshape the independent investigative agency to his liking. Inman had been extremely critical of the Army and the FAA in the DCA midair collision. Trump no likey. Well, many of those who lived _do_ have prosthetics, but yes, he’s still a moron. I once saw a short Army Signal Corps film of JFK returning the salute of a military guard standing by his helicopter. Reagan wasn’t the first President to do it, but he certainly popularized the gesture. ---
