Nah, he’ll be forced to TACO. The food scarcity begins almost immediately if somehow, magically all trade stopped. We import a majority of our fresh fruit and about a third of our fresh vegetables, with most of those imports coming from Mexico. That alone is a deal breaker for halting all foreign trade. Sure, talk about importing machinery or electronics or pharmaceuticals if you want, but risking the food supply is something people will see immediately at grocery stores in terms of both availability and sudden massive price hikes. ---
