If the AI companies want guardrails, have a rogue AI expose the Epstein files. The guard rails will be there the next day. Having said that, I don’t actually think it would work because Trump would be the first one to scream FAKE NEWS and people would give him the benefit of the doubt if the evidence of Trump’s sexual activity with minors came from a rogue AI. But for what it’s worth, I have a feeling the AI companies aren’t actually worried about safety, at least not in the traditional sense. There is a gigantic financial circle jerk going on with AI companies and at some point, someone is going to be left holding the bag for very expensive investments in products that don’t actually make a profit yet and might never. So they want an out and the out is to blame the government for putting the brakes on. Trump saying FUCK 'EM! is almost poetic justice. Almost. Broken clocks and all that. ---
