He’s only offering to sacrifice cities on the west coast. He’s not offering anything on the east coast as an acceptable target; he owns property there. ---

My guess is he started out with a standard (for him) plea that His War is justified, both by how Dangerous the Iranians are—they could blow us all to smithereens!!!1!!—and by how little Donald is asking of us in return for his providing his wise protection. But then he looked at his audience and decided that Sticking It to California would please them. So in place of his ‘Iran is dangerous—they could blow up Omaha!’ message, he segued right into ‘those snooty California assholes can go straight to hell!’ (which indeed was greeted with great applause, considering how small that crowd was). Also doesn’t explain why the MAGA audience was cheering, if it was intended to be a warning of potential disaster.
