It’s interesting… I was curious if this was legal, and apparently recording and/or broadcasting someone being killed isn’t at all illegal. Only if the actual killing itself were illegal would it run afoul of the law, and a state-run execution like this is not. It’s just morally depraved. ---

People have proposed pay-per-view executions for as long as there’s been pay-per-view. This is a bad idea for so many reasons IMHO. ---

Not a phrase, but I remember a lame commercial for a “Mexican” fast food chain, probably Taco Bell or Del Taco where the ~20yo spokesperson was showing his two pals their latest innovation in quesadillas. And he finished with some sort of flourishing hand gesture he / they were trying to popularize. I could never decide whether they put that in the commercial to make the spokesperson look even more like a total dweeb than the rest of his schtick, and therefore make him more memorable / relatable, or in hopes of actually turning the gesture into something Taco Bell hounds did to one another to demonstrate allegiance to the glory that is Taco Bell. In any case it did not work and the ads did not last long.
