We used to do that in Portland, where we did mail-in. Our polling place is literally three blocks from here, so we vote on the day. ---

I say “proof” in scare quoted because if you assume the entire thing is a crooked charade from top to bottom, somebody could fake that too. But I don’t think we’re to that point. Yet. There will be organized shenanigans in various places. And lots of different kinds of shenanigans in different places. But I bet what there won’t be much of is skillfully executed undetectable shenanigans in place from the git-go. ---

Plus, don’t you know that it’s all the fault of Volodymyr Zelensky that a “deal” hasn’t been made between Ukraine and Russia. Trump said today, “You know what I suggest? I suggest they [meaning the Ukrainian people] get a new leader who can make a deal because he could have made many deals and for some reason, he never does.” He’s mad because Zelensky criticized the deal with Russia to sell diesel, saying that doing so would prolong the war. ---

Last night, Trump attended a rally in Syracuse for Bruce Blakeman, running for New York governor on the Republican ticket but the only thing on Trump’s mind was that he didn’t receive the Nobel Peace Prize. > Today, they gave out the Nobel Peace Prize to a person. Like you, thanks for signing up for it I received an SMS _and_ email this week that the ballot was being prepared (Monday), and mailed (Wednesday). It was in my mailbox on Thursday. I marked it last night (Friday) and put it in the drop-off box in front of the registrar’s satellite office this morning (Saturday). I expect to get notice that it has been received, that the signature checked okay, and, finally, counted next week. ---

From what I’ve heard the amount is LESS THAN the USA uses in fourteen hours. So it won’t lower prices here. But what it will do is break the back of the international sanctions against Russia, increasing their revenues by billions. All of which can be used not only to pound Ukraine, but to continue aiding Iran in targeting US bases and vessels. A Congress of integrity would certainly consider this to be a basis for impeachment, conviction, and removal. ---

Well, we can hope that with Donald’s sinking popularity, the self-interest of Congressional Republicans (particularly in January 2027, when they may be in the minority) will lead them to be open to deep-sixing the treasonous old reprobate. I mean, you can almost hear the excuses: ‘_there have been so many reports that his health is suffering from the Presidency; I want him to get the rest he so clearly needs, and stepping aside is best for him…_.’ ---

But then Trump has punched himself in the dick on several occasions, so I can’t help but think the man if a fucking moron.
