I was unaware money coming into the US treasury had anything to do with stock market prices. Is it disbursed back out again right away? That sounds like _socialism_ to me, only corporate instead of individual. I’m confused. ---

I don’t know if it’s still the excuse du jour but among the cultists, the defense was that it would take time. More specifically ~6 months and then the markets would reflect the new phenomenal economy we have. Of course, Trump, in his negative wisdom, claims they’re already working. Given the reduction in imports we know is coming - because it takes several weeks to ship across oceans and the change to shipping is going to hit in the next couple weeks - it’ll be interesting to see if the 6 month excuse holds among the faithful or they come up with yet another way to deny reality. There is no reality, however, in which they ever admit any fault or error. ---
