His workplace is surely on another planet. The administrators at my job are disallowed from accepting gifts over $50 and the hourly staff like me aren’t allowed to accept any gifts. A vision of an airplane for the CEO would be vaped from a crackpipe. ---

As a former Federal employee I remember a training session or something in which we were instructed that we were not allowed to accept any gifts from the public. As I recall one of the examples we were given was if an old lady came into the office with a basket of homemade cupcakes for the staff we had to turn them down. ---

County employee here. Yeah, can’t do that. No gifts. Though contractors would come into the building department with a gift of a 12 pack of beer. That was 30 years ago though. Was odd to see beer in the department refrigerator. ---

Republic of South Africa, Democratic Republic of Congo. You say tomato, I say tomato. They are all just African countries. I know that geography is tough, hell, we don’t even have a map for those Mexican countries, so can we cut Trump a break for not knowing one African country from another several thousand kilometers away from each other? (Although, if he could be fooled into taking refugees from the DRC, albeit Black ones, that would be a great thing for a group of people who have been living in hellish dictatorships for generations.) ---

I’m pretty sure Trump thinks Africa is just like a 1930s black and white Tarzan movie from coast to coast. He’s met Musk at least so he probably thinks all the white people in Africa live in the southern half. ---
