I wonder what that means for all of us that have ALREADY paid tariffs (not CHYNA)? Since the money I/we paid for the tariffs went to the US govt, will the US govt have to repay it to me? ---

Is there a separate thread for all the odious pardons trump has been granting to J6 insurrectionists, corrupt politicians, and other criminals? Never mind, the news that he is even thinking of this is pissing me off, so I’ll just put it right here. How far away are we from people assassinating Dems they don’t like, thinking they’ll get a trump pardon? In all seriousness, why doesn’t Trump just come right out and say he will pardon anybody who goes after a Democratic politician? Pardons are a function of the office of POTUS, so it’s an official act and is 100% legal for him to do it according to SCOTUS. ---

So no refunds in the offing. Next stop will be the Supreme Court. Will they continue to trash the Constitution by ignoring the clear language of Article 1, Section 8, clause 1? Who would be surprised if they did? But in case they do not–in case they uphold the Court of International Trade ruling that halted the tariffs–it may not follow that those who’ve paid the tariffs have any chance of recovering those funds. After all, this is the Trump Regime we’re talking about.
