I saw this comment looking at the FB page for the Trump Burger in Flatonia, TX. Sounds trumpy enough “Cash Only” > Make sure you bring cash. That is all they accepted when i went there so i had to go somewhere else. ---

It’s the Apprentice Effect. The average American does not read above the 8th grade level. They do, however, watch TV. And TV showed them a vision of a successful, insightful business leader who ran and expanded a financial empire on his own, no matter what the actual truth is. If anything is weird, or at least unusual, it’s people like those on this board who actually care about facts or bother to put an effort into determining what those facts really are. Present the average person an image of Trump as a nepo baby, and they will fall back on what they “know” and dismiss the image, rather than what the facts may actually say. That’s not to say it’s not worth pushing back on such narratives, but it’s not any sort of slam dunk low hanging fruit to use against him, either. ---
