The real problem is that that one guy is the CEO. He controls how the thing is run, and can choose underlings that effect his particular concepts (of plans). Congress and the courts can constrain the CEO to some extent, but we have seen that this one in particular does not give much of a shit about them and will keep running the show the way he wants to for as long as he can.        I am not wholly convinced that it is even a good design for conglomerate megacorps, but it clearly has serious flaws when implemented as a nation-running method. For 238 years, we were able to rely on executives who operated mostly within the bounds of honor and decency. It would be a shame if we had to trash a deeply dysfunctional system just because it was unable to rein in a feckless turdsack. ---

I am continually irked at the fact that he cannot seem to reach the aggregate limit of tolerable stupidity. He surpassed my limit for tolerable stupidity between twenty and thirty years ago, but that is just me. He keeps forging on, and reasonable people seem to adjust their tolerances, because, I guess, fear or awe or apathy, or maybe they are hoping for a tidal backlash that will push the Overton window beyond Copenhagen.
