I’m guessing he doesn’t realize it’s not “classy” the way high profile boxing matches in Vegas or Atlantic City can attract real celebrities to show up. I wonder if they’ll catch him on camera complaining about low class riff-raff and being unable to get anybody decent to spectate. ---

It’s a publicity stunt to stoke the UFC fans in his base and I can see Trump claiming as the date draws near that the Secret Service won’t allow it. I guess they could hold it on the Mall. Capital One Arena, where the Wizards and Capitals play in downtown DC, holds around 20,000. The stands for 25,000 would be pretty big and have to surround a ring much smaller than a bball court or hockey rink. ---

Among the other stupid shit Trump was spewing at the Iowa rally was the notion of estate taxes and how nobody will have to pay them. Well, nobody who leaves behind less than $14M pays estate tax now, so I really doubt that any of the yokels who attend his rallies have anything to worry about. He also lied about no taxes on Social Security. Total bullshit and not in the bill. We will continue to pay just like we always have. Also, his claim about no taxes on tips and overtime; not quite the truth. There will be no taxes on PART of the tips and OT, up to a certain dollar amount. And then there was his blathering on about climate change and how there will be all this new beach property, and “how can they predict what will happen in 150 years when they can’t predict if it will rain tomorrow?” ---

Win! The commentator pointed out that, um, this would mean the existing beachfront properties in those locations would then be underwater. ---

In extremely simple terms (that even a drooling Trumpist can understand) let me please explain what dasmoocher is saying. Lets say you have a cone ( or a hemisphere ) that is flat side down in a tub of water. The water is at level X on average and the diameter of the waterline is B. Now, add water to the tub. You will notice that the water level rises on the cone/hemisphere. As the water level rises, the diameter of the waterline shrinks to A so there is in reality less of the cone/hemisphere above the water. This means that there is less beach front property, no matter what that lying orange sonofabitch says. I now return you to an educated liberal level of conversation. ---
