Now that we’ve had catastrophic flooding in Texas (and elsewhere), we know the importance of accurate and prompt weather prediction and notification, right? Trimp’s administration is already taking flak for dismissing key personnel. To be clear, those satellites are past end of life, so they would have had to be shut down no matter who had won the last election. BUT the DoD has opted not to make data from their replacement satellites to be made available, either. And that is some top shelf bullshit. ALSO, they had already been granted a one month extension. If they’re still up and running, why not an extension to the end of this year’s hurricane season, at least? ---

So I’ve sent the occasional feisty emails to white [house.gov](http://house.gov). To my shock their site now counts me as a supporter. Apparently I have to lace my messages with a lot of nasty profanity to get tossed in the opposition. ---
