You’re right, of course. But in my opinion they might have used better judgment in 2016. I mean hindsight 20/20 etc, but . . . anyway, I guess that’s enough from me on the subject! ---

Trump will circumvent the US Attorney confirmation process for Alina Habba, by withdrawing her nomination. Then Bondi will appoint her first deputy US attorney, which allows her to fill the vacant US attorney slot. Trump will then leave it vacant, which effectively makes Habba the US attorney. Lol, if you can’t win by the rules, you can always break them. This solution is only valid for 210 days, which is the maximum for an acting US attorney, but Trump undoubtedly will break the rules again when that time comes.
