How has Trump pissed my off today? (or rather a few days ago but I just got around to posting aobut it now.) The powers that be finally got around to putting up his portrait along with Vance’s in the entry hall of the federal building where I work. Sometime between 2017 and 2020 we were passing through a border checkpoint. Back then my husband had to go inside and get fingerprinted/iris scanned etc. because he was still travelling under a British passport. It’s a large building and the presidential portraits were down at the far end. The previous Obama portrait was large and dominated the wall. I looked for the portrait of 45 (masochistic tendencies) and struggled to find it because it was so small. Made me happy. We haven’t crossed the border this year and wouldn’t need to go inside anymore anyway so I have no idea what is there now. ---

Haha. Lord I hope not, but I wouldn’t be surprised. We’ll be crossing the border in a week. The chances are low (crossed fingers) that we’ll have to go inside. And to be honest, the last few years the crossings have been stress free. The last time both of us went we had a truly cheerful and joking Hispanic crossing guard. He was a pleasure. This was in Maine. I don’t think I’ve ever seen a Hispanic anyone in northern Maine. ---
