I am grateful to have been born a woman in this place (U.S.) and time. I am grateful for the career I had for many years, and the judicious financial decisions I made which enabled me to retire at age 47 when I realized it was no longer the profession I had trained for. I am grateful that my cancer turned out to most likely be a speed bump on the road o’life, although I’m not out of the woods just yet.
And I am grateful to Jesus Christ for living and dying for me. I realize many of you don’t share this belief, and I do respect that.
