You know what’s hard to take a picture of? A mirror. Just a mirror. See, I have a gold-veined mirror, similar to the one **Sunrazor** was admiring in **FCM’s** earlier photo. And I wanted to share. But it’s actually mirror tiles, and they are glued onto the wall. (I _told_ you this house was a nightmare, didn’t I?) But I didn’t want anything to take away from the mirror-y goodness (the reflection of my fabulous kitchen, or my hand holding the camera would be too distracting). Alas, I am beaten. ---

Time for Exgineer’s MMP thread housekeeping: Renaisance (sp?) Fairs (Faires?): I understand there’s always an axe-throwing booth. Me, a bunch of nerds, and heavy metal objects do not make for a good combination. Boats: Two words - Boston Whaler. I can’t be trusted with anything bigger or less foolproof. You can run those things full speed up onto a barely submerged rock and not sink them. Trust me on this. **welby** : I’m much better looking, and I’ve never worn a tablecloth while conscious and sober. I think. **swampy** ’s unfulfilled fantasies: Hell, man, you have a swimming pool and a floating cooler. And a Mustang. I’m just that easy. I’m also married , though, so there’s your problem. Game on! Today is the day the Hurricanes release the mini season ticket plans for the upcoming season. I’m so excited, I could squeal like a [del]pig[/del] schoolgirl! It’s kind of funny, waiting for ice hockey tickets when it is going to be 98+ today(37 degrees to you metric folk). Saturday is vacation day, I’m flying out to see the parental units in Miss. My uncle Mike and aunt Mary(squeaky dog) will be there. Funny, over the last 3 years I’ve spent more time with Dopers IRL than I have with blood relatives. Welcome back **MBG**!! Don’t you just love it when minions won’t make decisions? **Spats** , You coveteth my ICE CREAM BAR! **bobbio** I think most churches down east are tiny. I’ve seen Catholic churches out that way that are smaller than a Barbie house. **Li-Li** , the multi husband, quasi-offspring thing sounds all Deliverancey. **welby** , I recomend skipping straight to step 13, and repeating. ---

I have one pic of me and Mr. Anachi here at work but I don’t have a photo sponor site set up. Last night was baked chicken and steamed peas. I just splashed the chicken with some chardonney and spices and the peas were frozen in a steamer bag. Oh, I forgot. **mika** I bought a 2005 'Stang in the spring of (gasp!) 2005. I wasn’t going to do it. I wanted one sure, but I wasn’t gonna do it. Then the local Ford place got this dark metallic gray with red leather interior convertible in. All I was going to do was just go look. I swear. Next thing I know, I’m driving it home. It all happened so fast! I think they drugged me. ACBG (who was with me fortunately cause he drove my other vehicle home. No, I did not trade in a vehicle. That would be sensible. Instead I went from owning two vehicles to owning three) said I had to buy it cause I drooled on it. 😃 ---

Good morning all. I’m feeling slightly more human, thanks for the well wishes. **FCM,** the boat looks very nice, really. Well, except for the cushions, but that can be changed. Good luck with the offer. I’ll try to post pics later. Really, the only ones I have here at work are of me in a bathing suit or wet suit looking wet and bedraggled. **welby,** has a picture of me from when he, I, **fcm, and welbywife** met, but I must have broken the camera. BTW, I think **welby** looks and act like a big ol’ teddy bear. He tries to act all curmudgeonly, but he isn’t. Or, at least he wasn’t the night we met for dinner. That’s all I’ve got for now. I’ve got a lot of crapola going on here at work and I need to get going. ---

Well, There’s a bit in there about Rincewind, who is stranded on a deserted isle. He is quite happy, except what he misses the most is potatoes, since you can’t get them on a deserted isle. When he escapes he actually develops a complex about this, and whenever he sees a beautiful woman he thinks of potatoes, since that’s what he wants most in the world. Anyway, Taters in a swimsuit totally made me think of that. :eek: 😉 Note, I have no reason to put the eek smiley in there, I just like the way it looks - scared smiley in a black box. ---
