We keep hearing how X percent of people voted a certain way because of “moral values,” for example. How are these questions asked? Do exit pollsters provide a list of possible responses? If not, what do they put down if a voter gives a complex response? I presume that when all this data becomes refined (an ETA I heard today is April) the discussion can proceed in earnest. But before that, I’d like to know more about how the data are collected. Does anyone have first hand evidence? xo C. ---

Or, as an alternative question, was anyone polled as they exited their polling place? Were answers provided? multiple choice? Could you answer anything you wanted? Did you see what pollsters wrote? Does anyone have first hand info? xo C. ---
