Thank you for your opinion though I don’t agree. Im betting a rank and file poster would get noted for it at least, especially if not providing any other substantive answer. Everyone on this board knows that string has deflection. IMO, Chronos’ response was unnecessary and rude. My two cents. ---

There is nothing hypothetically self-contradictory about a frictionless vacuum. Pissing on a thought experiment (“well you can’t ride on a beam of light so stupid to think about it Einstein”) would be threadshitting. This does not seem like that. ---

Probably. And yes that would be threadshitting. There is an obvious utility in imagining the impossible. Even the imagine parallel lines do cross sort. This one though, no. ---
