What, that the U.S. government would itself drop bombs on Californians, kill them and blame it on Iran? Not only would that be near-impossible a conspiracy to keep hidden, but it would be far likelier to result in Trump actually being impeached and removed from office than anything else he has ever done up to this point.
I guess you’ve never heard of false flag operations. They wouldn’t have to drop bombs from US military planes and then try to lie about it. They would disguise the attack using materials that a terrorist might possess. They could recruit and radicalize people on purpose, just for this end. It would all be classified at the highest level.
The administration has from the first been calling Iran “the enemy” and “evil” but not enough people are getting on board with those feelings, so they need to up the ante, make the “danger” feel closer to home. I don’t know that they would actually do any of those things, but it would not be unexpected, given this administration’s record and obvious intent.
One of the first things Trump did was send in the military to dump Californian water; nobody outside the state cared. If he bombed California I doubt there’d be much more than some hand wringing, considering how widely California is hated and how spineless the Democrats are.
And while I doubt he could pull off a convincing false flag operation, his followers would be eager to both blame Iran and say California deserved it. Trump could send drones with Trump stickers on them to bomb San Francisco and they’d still nod their heads and say it was obviously the fault of Iran.
