# How long before your first issue of Sports Illustrated arrived?

Does it \*\*really \*\*take 10-12 weeks for the first issue of Sports Illustrated to arrive when starting a new subscription? I want to order it for Dad for Christmas, but I’m not sure when to place the order. I seem to recall it magazines I’ve ordered for myself claiming to take that long before coming, but not taking the length claimed…so anyone order SI lately themselves?

I’ve been a subscriber for many years and if I recall correctly, the first issue was delivered much quicker than those 10-12 weeks advertised. If you want it to be a surprise to your father on Christmas day, you may prefer the first issue to arrive at his tome in mid- or late January than early December.

I ordered a subscription a couple of months ago. I don’t think it took more than 4 weeks or so for the first issue to arrive.
