Salt could be recovered by squeegeing the sweat off of the oil-covered tourists, and using the shrimp dip boiler to distill out the water. An added bonus is that the leftover coconut oil film could be used to fill the deep fryer for some nice tempura shrimp.
And shrimp dip can contain nearly anything, so it looks like a long healthy nutrient-rich life is guaranteed.
In all of your timeline estimates you are neglecting the fact that there is an injury to the heel involved. (some people are so into material wealth that they concentrate on the loss of the flip flop and don’t even recognize the seriousness of a pop-top wound)
Well that cheap ass margarita mix did give me one serious case of indigestion the next day so that is a red flag right there. Though I suspect any food/beverage product that is sold in couple gallon plastic buckets probably isn’t the upper echelon stuff.
I have heard that human flesh is toxic though due to all of the chemicals and other stuff (including human-specific diseases), but that doesn’t make much sense because if it was that bad, you’d be sick yourself (well, there’s bioaccumulation, but 1-2 a year shouldn’t’ be too much).
On a more serious note, there are people who have tried diets even more limited than the OP’s and other recent threads and lived for years before getting sick; 15 years in the case of chicken nuggets.
One would assume that one would get really plastered from the low food intake and the high alcohol intake, and would survive only 24 hours - after which time one would wander in front of a moving bus and …SQUISH!
While causation cannot be determined, there is some evidence that such a diet may lead to follicular degeneration and/or loss of secondary sexual characteristics. One male subject reported a longstanding unfulfilled desire to grow even the thinnest of mustaches.
