# How long does  name change take?

Not meaning to be pushy, just asking to set my own expectations correctly.

I sent in a request for a user ID change (I believe we’re entitled to one free, yes?) a couple of days ago to **Arnold Winkelried**. What is the usual turnaround on these things?

Yes, one to two days seems to be typical. The staff does advise, however, that you contact more than one administrator with your request, in case the first one is too busy or unavailable. Whichever one gets to it first will take care of it.

Suggestion: Contact Dex or Tubadiva. Arnold is pretty busy sometimes.
