my longest pre-marriage dry spell was 6 months. It was fairly voluntary. I had broken up with the guy I thought was the love of my life, and actually LOST my sex-drive (that’s pretty serious for me. . .it’s like losing my appetite!:)) Since I’ve been married, we went through about a 3 month thing, where I kept getting sick with kidney stones; it seemed like the few times during those three months that I wasn’t sick, he had a sinus infection or some such! It was a long three months, made longer by the fact that we were still sleeping next to each other, cuddling, etc. ---

Since oral sex, about 3 months; since intercourse, 9 months. Both streaks are current, and it seems like it’s been forever. Funny thing is (here’s where it becomes clear that I’m in my late 30’s and not a teenager), what I miss most is the non-sexual part of sex: holding, hugging, cuddling, sleeping together, etc. Of course, I miss the sex, too, but if I had to choose one or the other right now, I’d take care of my heart before my penis. ---
