It’s running at 2% with 51 reviews …
Oh. That movie.
I was wondering why anyone would be asking about Halloween 3 and thought, “That’s gotta be pretty damn low.”
He was entertaining in Kick-Ass last year.
He appears to be carving out a reliable, high-paid niche. And when he’s really in a project he’s IN a project. Don’t forget that for all the bombs he’s had some hugely bankable hits. Hell, the two National Treasure movies brought in over $400MM between them just with the theatrical run.
Lifetime movies in which he’s appeared have brought in more than 2 billion dollars over nearly thirty years. I’d keep casting him, too.
Is there some magic % level below which films become so bad that they turn good again?
I’d say that for me so-bad-it’s-good movies are in a low range, but not sub-basement low. The really low ones are usually just plain bad.
I read the one and only “fresh” review of this movie at Rotten Tomatoes, and the reviewer basically says it’s not so bad if you’re drunk. That’s a ringing endorsement! “I was going to go see The Fighter, but I’m a little tipsy, so I’ll see this instead.”
I’m mad at that review for skewing the stats.
Alright, after sitting at 1 percent for at least a day, this bomb has rebounded to exactly 5 percent, meaning me and 7 other people just barely miss being right (I’m presuming all reviews are in at this point). But it sure was fun playing!
For the record, it has a 0 percent rating from the “Top Critics” on the site.
Put it this way: “Jonah Hex” is running at better than twice as high a rating.
Well, it DOES have Megan Fox’s boozums going for it.
“The Last Airbender” got 7%.
Which says something horrible about “Jonah Hex” - Fox’s boozums should be worth 15 points. Each.
Luke Mochrie and his split personalities thought it was terrible.
Even Ringo couldn’t find anything good to say about it.
I didn’t think it was that bad. Sure it wasn’t great, it was very predictable because the trailer pretty much gave away what was happening. It could have been better if they actually tried to have some suspense. I’ve seen much worse. At least it wasn’t too long.
I’ll still never get that three hours of Alexander back.
Or the twelve hours of Troy.
