There are actually 6,864 active Dopers. However, 1,231 post only in Game Room threads. 3,652 post only in the Pit, and usually only in threads pitting other posters. 1,114 are teenagers posting about their sorry love lives in IMHO and MPSISM. 866 are waiting for trigger words like “Jesus,” “Obama,” “Romney,” and “race” to launch vituperative arguments and counterarguments in GD and Elections. Leaving only one active poster to answer general questions, discuss fine arts and post pictures of kitties. How may I help you? ---
