There was a company-wide poll here about coffee drinking habits, and the results seem odd. They certainly don’t fit with the coffee habits in my workgroup, so I wanted to see how they fit with people here. For the purposes of the poll, a “cup” of coffee is a regular 6-8 ounce cup. If you suck down a 32-ounce mug-o-joe, count that as four cups. ---

I don’t drink the stuff though I do like the smell of fresh grounds, coffee candy and ice cream. ---

Six cups easily. Maybe two or three more some nights when I’m home. I’ve been drinking coffee black since before I started 1st grade so my caffeine receptors have all fused shut. Juan Valdez named his burro after me. ---

I used to be a fiend. I had an all day supply of free office coffee (definition of ‘office coffee’: coffee that tastes like the floor of an office), and I had a never ending cup. Now I stick to the one 20 ouncer (with the shot of whatever that stuff is that’s like an extra jolt of caffiene) in the morning, and I’m usually good to go. Sometimes there’s bonus java in the works, but certainly not every day. ---

4+ cups of some really vile coffee from the machine at work. It’s one of those “Press your selection and cup drops out” things. At least it’s free. ---

1-2 mugs (equal to two cups for the Euros) at home. an additional 1-2 mugs when I get to the office. ---

I’ve had maybe four cups in my 50-year-and counting life, so I figured that I essentially never drink the stuff. ---

I don’t think the options in the poll go high enough. I only drink 2-3 myself, sometimes 4, but I know quite a few people who drink 7-10. ---
