We’re losing famous people left and right.

I can recall the recent deaths of:
John Ritter
Johnny Cash
Donald O’Connor
Elia Kazan
Robert Palmer
George Plimpton
Stanley Farfara (Whitey)
Gordon Jump

Any others? (I like morbid tallying)

Trevor Goddard died this past June. He played Mic Brumby on JAG and had a very small role in Pirates of the Caribbean.

If you’re counting author/scholars, then Edward Said (who’s the subject of another thread in the Cafe) just passed away this month.
