Not as close as some people, but the chap who had the room opposite me in my first year at college lived two doors away from [Peter Sutcliffe](http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Peter_Sutcliffe), the Yorkshire Ripper. ---

My great-aunt was a friend of Rosemary LaBianca, who was murdered by the Manson Family. ---

The younger sister of one of my mom’s friends was killed by Ted Bundy when he was in Utah. A guy I used to work with stalked and killed a former girlfriend and her 5 year old daughter. He’s on death row in texas right now. ---
