# How many "human shields" stayed for the shooting?

How many of the “human shields” who went to Iraq amid much media fanfare actually stayed for the shooting? How many just scuttled home with their tails between their legs when it looked like they might really have to live up to their big talk?

Okay, so we have one who had true courage of her convictions.

How many bailed? How many ended up “shielding” targets of no military value in the first place?

(The latter is like me declaring that my house in Indianapolis is a “nuclear free zone” and insisting that I have thus contributed significantly to “disarmament” because no missile silos have been built there in the past year.)
