This reminds me of an old lecture I heard on torture and whether it’s sinful to lie about one’s religion in order to save one’s life. As I recall, the professor said “they dont deserve the truth.” Or maybe I’m very confused and it was “you cant handle the truth.” In any case, I almost never lie, honestly, (If I lied, I’d do it dishonestly!) No seriously, I usually go quiet or change the subject when put in a situation where a white lie is in order. As for other types of lies, almost never.
I now consider this thread to be a challenge, since I keep misreading the title as “How many lies do you think you can tell in a day?”
I’ll start - I think I can tell 10 lies (big lies, not “you look nice” type) on a Saturday
I don’t lie.
Sometimes I am forced to avoid the truth, but it’s never a lie. e.g “How are you?” “Eh… Average.” It doesn’t include the detail that would be the facts, but it’s not an untruth.
At least maybe 15? 10 in the very least.
I lie all the damn time.
