# How many men have really been \*cancelled\* by #metoo?

What that article doesn’t directly mention, [but wikipedia goes into](https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/G%C3%A9rard_Depardieu#Sexual_assault_and_rape_allegations), is that Depardieu has admitted to rape as a young man and was pretty fucking dismissive of the concept at age thirty (in 1978).

He’s a talented actor. Also a piece of shit.

It’s been known for decades that he holds, and described publicly, reprehensible views on rape and sexual assault. The only sorrow I have is that it took this long for karma to finally catch up to him.
