All ball-breaking aside, I actually don’t think I’m the smartest poster on this board. There are a number of very smart people here, which is why I like it. I would bet I’m not the only TNS member who posts here, in fact; but the others are most likely reluctant to have this kind of sour-grapes vitriol heaped upon them, so they keep mum about it. ---

So, you failed to follow a Mod’s instructions, were Warned for that failure, and now claim that you were given a different Warning than the one you received and further claim that a post with no insulting language was “essentially the same” as the post for which you were Warned for hostile language. (I don’t know how much you had to pay to join that “intelligence” club, but you were seriously overcharged if it was a buck.) ---

I would ordinarily just say something dismissively sarcastic and pithy like “Uh huh…yeah”. But this is the Pit, and you are insulting more than just _my_ intelligence (and I don’t mean in the obvious literal sense that you and a number of people are engaging in), so I am going to be more direct than usual. What you are trying to peddle here is a steaming pile of horse shit, and I ain’t buyin’. I may be many things, but I’m glad I’m not a craven and shameless liar like you are. No two posts are identical unless they are identical. But yes, I believe those two posts amount to the same thing. I would have been perfectly content with expressing the exact verbiage in that next post, and not have felt like anything I was trying to say was left out. I didn’t even have any real history of negative interaction with the person I was addressing. **Captor** and I have carried on in friendly terms for literally years on my “rise of the robots” thread. The fundamental point though is that people write posts that are that confrontational, and then some, all the time without getting warned. (I have written many myself, which is exactly the problem.) There are certainly forums that just don’t allow even that much bristling or condescension toward a fellow poster, and they have a character that is completely different from this one. ETA: I would love to see someone raise their hand and say “I can’t stand that fuckwad **SlackerInc** , but that really was a bullshit warning.” Insult me as much as you like, but just be honest. ---
