I’ve never been to one. I doubt that I’d pay for a ticket, but if I were to be given one, and I were in a city that had a NHL team anyway, I’d probably go. For shits & giggles. ---

Hockey is awesome. Couldn’t have cared less about it until my uncle took me to a game. Completely different experience from watching it on television. I’ve been to a bunch of games. Growing up near Buffalo, options for major league professional sports were either Sabres games or Bills games. Sabres games were like one fifth the price. When you’re in your teens, that’s not a tough choice to make. ---

Two: Nordiques v. Oilers, and Nordiques v. Habs. Both very exciting, for completely different reasons. For the Oilers game, I got to see Gretzky in his prime. It was true what they said about him: he was always where the puck was going to be. Fantastic player. For the Habs, there was just something magic in seeing those jerseys coming on, in real life. Very Canadian moment. ---

Three (I think) Hawks games back in the seventies. Not a huge hickey fan but I had fun. Saw a number of WHA games, mostly Chicago Cougars, but I’m not counting those. If I did it’d be up in the less than 20 category. ---

I’ve been to one. It was a Coyotes game when I was little. It was definitely better than all the baseball games I went to as a kid but it’s not something I really have any interest in doing again. Edit: I just looked them up. I love that only 3 out of 22 players on the team are American. ---

My dad had half-season tickets for the Ottawa Senators for several years when I was a teenager, so I’m not entirely sure. Probably more than 50, so that’s how I voted. ---

I never gave two shits about hockey until I went in person. Even then, I wasn’t hooked until I went to my second game, which was my first Kings’ game (hometown team for me) and witnessed a hat trick. I’ve been fairly hooked ever since, but it has only been about six years for me. I still haven’t mastered the rules, although I understand far more than I used to. But I can watch and enjoy on television now. All in all, I think I’ve been to six or seven games in person now. Even have myself a jersey. I’d go more often if my schedule allowed for it – I can walk to Staples Center from work. ---

Fewer than 10: One Islanders game, whereupon I discovered that the nosebleed seats of the Nassau Coliseum aren’t worth the cost of the paper the tickets are printed on. Don’t recall who the opponents were. One Rangers game, vs. the Penguins, won two center-ice, close-down seats in a raffle. Very nice. One Thrashers game in Atlanta, on vacation, and who should be the visiting team but the Islanders, who we could have seen any time at home, if we wanted to. Phillips Arena was very nice, a shame Georgians couldn’t support it more. ---

I’ve been to hundreds of games. Maybe close to 1,000. I’ve been to at least 20 games in the Stanley Cup finals. ---

First game was Wings vs. Nordiques. Second game was Wings vs. Sharks. Third game was Wings vs. some team I’ve forgotten. Fourth game was Wings vs. Kings. Fifth game was Blackhawks vs. Kings. ---

One, in March. I went to Caps-Penguins at the Verizon Center with my dad–he’s a Penguins fan and it was his Christmas present. I don’t really care about hockey, but I found it much better live than on TV and had a good time.
