Mine went up **100%** one year. I wish I had thought to blame the government then! It was George Bush Sr.'s fault!

As an update, now it is 16 million. Pretty impressive. And that is w/o expanding medicaid in many states (FL, TX, GA)

> Under the law’s more popular provisions, another 2.3 million young adults gained coverage from 2010 by being allowed to remain on a parent’s plan until age 26.

To beat a dead horse, in states that expanded medicaid the uninsured rate is now 7.5% for adults 18-64. Seeing how kids 0-18 have medicaid and SCHIP, and adults 65+ have medicare that is a pretty decent improvement. 15-17 million more people now have insurance, an increase over the 8-11 million reported in fall of 2014.

Granted there are several problems with the law that need to be fixed, and I doubt they get fixed anytime soon but it is still an improvement.

They need to work on making health care more affordable and fixing all the loopholes that people fall through when they get care (out of network charges, balance billing, etc).
