Only Chicago for me, it’s practically in my backyard from Milwaukee. I may have been in Jacksonville at some point in my life with the handful of times I’ve been to Florida, but I really couldn’t say for sure. ---

Going by municipalities only: San Juan -yes, I’m from this place Bayamón -yes Carolina- yes Ponce - yes Caguas - yes Guaynabo - yes, I have family here Arecibo - yes Toa Baja- other than driving by, nope Mayagüez - yes Trujillo Alto - yes Toa Alta - other than driving by, no Aguadilla - yes, I have family there Vega Baja - yes Humacao - no Río Grande - nope other than driving by Cabo Rojo - yes Juana Díaz - no Cayey - yes, possibly, when I was much younger Canóvanas - yes Isabela - yes So there are four that I have not visited or stayed in any longer than changing gas (if at all). In the others, I’ve been there either to shop, visit, see relatives or friends, or explore. ---

If I can just put Australia in perspective. It’s a big joint. I live in melbourne. Cairns is 2800km north. (1700 miles) Perth is 3400 km west. (2100 miles) These are not day trips or going for a cruise on the bicycle trips. Just for comparison for those in Europe, Paris to Moscow is 2800km, basically the same as Melbourne to Cairns. (distances have been rounded to the nearest 100 as I cbf ) ---

Here’s the top 20 cities/towns by population in Scotland: Glasgow Edinburgh Aberdeen Dundee Paisley East Kilbride Livingston Hamilton Cumbernauld Kirkcaldy and Dysart Dunfermline Inverness Perth Ayr Kilmarnock Greenock Coatbridge Glenrothes Airdrie Stirling I don’t thing I’ve ever been to Greenock, so 95%. ---

New York: Yes Los Angeles: yes Chicago: Yes Houston: Yes Philadelphia: Yes Phoenix: kinda, flew into Phoenix, then drove to Sedona, a week there, then back to Phoenix to fly out. San Antonio: Yes San Diego: Yes Dallas: Yes, way too many times San Jose: Yes Austin: Yes Indianapolis: Yes Jacksonville (FL): Yes San Francisco: Yes Columbus: Yes Charlotte: Yes Fort Worth: Yes Detroit: Yes, if Farmington Hills counts El Paso: Yes, oh my god, spent 6 months there Memphis: Yes Actually, I have to go all the way to number 31 (Milwaukee) before I get to an absolute no. Unfortunately.95% business travel for most of these cities, so no Yay for me. ---

Boston doesn’t make it tothe Top 20 on some of these lists, but San Antonio does. That is simply a function of how the city lines are drawn up. If you went by them as urban centers, Boston is a much larger city. ---

I’m going to do a new list, [using the Census Bureau’s Core Based Statistical Areas to rank city size](http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Cities_and_metropolitan_areas_of_the_United_States)s, since these are more a measure of the metro area, rather than just what’s inside the city limits. (A list of the biggest cities that doesn’t have DC but does have Columbus, Ohio, leaves something to be desired, IMHO.)
