We adopted our cat from a neighbor. He and his daughter lived in our complex, and when he passed away, she moved, but couldn’t take the cat with her. We saved the cat’s life. So now we’ve had Fido for about five years. She’s a tabby with a white ring around the tip of her tail. Not a lap cat, I regret to say, but fairly sociable otherwise. She’s an indoor cat on account of having been a stray. But she enjoys looking out windows and we even bought a house with a screened-in front porch just for her. ---

I have two tuxedo kitties. The long-haired male is Oreo (his white stripe on his belly is his cream filling)and the short-haired is Taz, our little devil with a fettish for rabbit fur toys. Two rescue kitties. One we bottle fed. This is the first year we had to leave the bottom third of the christmas tree bare. Changed my life when I switched over to wood-pellet litter. No more acrid clay dust, and I don’t have the uneasy feeling that litter is clumping in kittys gastro-intestinal tract, what with them being such persistent groomers and all. ---

I’ve got three of em. Sonya Sasha and Ozzy, all female. Ozzy’s original name was Vaxa (sp?) which is RUssian for black shoe wax, but one day she was standing in front of the TV when Ozzy Osbourne was one and she looked just like him so the name stuck. They all have some sort of mental problems or something, Sonya gets into everything just to do it, plus she wants attention but refuses to acept it. Sasha loves soft food and begs for it even when she is eating it, plus she chases things that dont exsist. Ozzy is 14 pounds and refuses to jump even though she can. We got a dog about a year ago and it would eat the cat food so we had to put it up, she refused to jump up to it. Plus after 5 years she still runs from us when we are walking around the house. ---

Maeglin and I have four cats: **Morgaine** (1 1/2, all black, nick. Blackus), **Jules** (brother, all orange and fuzzy, nick. Julius, Wool), **Chiara** (8 months, silver and white, complete spaz, nick. Silver Tabby), and **Virgil** (brother, orange and white, nick. Purrgil, Sensitive Boy, Creamy Boy…) They are fabulous!!! I had two **Mouse** and **Spike** , both of whom passed away a year ago, Mouse was 19 years old (grey, sleek and beautiful), Spike (big striped guy with white chest) was 18 years old. We’re now left with my SO’s cats, a Big Yellow cat, a small tortoise shell, and a big black cat (he calls them 'big yellow cat, mom cat and black cat, saying they’ve never told him their names). I’ve got two little fluff-balls: **Alexi Elise** , a 2-year old Tiffany (imagine a long hair that looks black, but is really dark, dark brown) and **Dmytri** , a 1-and-a-half year old tabby (and is he getting to be a fat cat already at 11#'s !) Gotta love them, they come running when I come home from work, they come running when I’m in the kitchen, they come running when I’m getting ready for bed. **Alexi** is the premier lap-cat and\*\* Dmytri\*\* is like my second shadow. ---

who own me! Got Milk? - a Black and White with a white milk mustache below his nose. To quote a Jane’s Addiction Song (My Cat’s Name is Maceo), “He’s a little man… in a cat’s body.” Tribble - aka Bitch Kitty. She’s pure white, and I’m allergic to her. Which is why she sleeps on my head! She also bites. Both were rescued off the street. In fact, Got Milk? was unceremoniously tossed into my car by a friend… “Now, DRIVE!” ---

Two dumb little kitties for us! Blackjack, our black cat with the white toe, and Dusty, our round grey cat who does NOT like to be held. They’re sweet, sweet boys, but not very bright. ---

**epeepunk** and I have two cats: **Smudge** is a parti-point siamese (mix?). China-blue eyes, with fur a mix of creamy-white, pale flame-point, and seal-point, in patches. When we got her from the shelter, she was snuggly, calm, and sweet… turned out she had a 104-degree fever. Once well, she was insane. Used to do back-flips off the bedroom window. **Poche’** is a silver-gray cat with shadow-stripes and copper eyes. She is the product of multiple in-breedings in a barn cat colony, and is, hence, **dumb as toast**. Amazingly pretty, though, and loves to snuggle. We wanted a lap cat, we got a cat who will jump for your lap when you are standing up, then will look puzzled when she doesn’t ‘stick’. ---

There are six cats in my home right now. The best among them is named Moyra. She’s been with me since the lean times. There is a cat named Jack who belongs to **lilah**. **Nen** has four cats named Jabba, Einstein, Squeaky and Mr. Smith. ---

I only have one cat, Jack. He has almost enough toes for two cats, but not quite- he only has 32. He’s pretty smart, and he is training me well. He likes to talk to me in the morning and in the evening (when he’s hungry) and is dreadfully afraid of shirts on hangers, and loud running water noises. He also likes to play commando in the attic, and attack flying insects. ---

Skippy, who just ain’t right. (He had a very high temperature when he was just a tiny kitten. Imagine three days of feeding him water through an eye-dropper just to get fluid into him.) He came out of it, but something occurred in his brain. He looks at you with these really blank stares and if you pat him a certain way on his back, he does a fairly good Stevie Wonder impression. He also has a hernia that prevented the vet from ‘fixing’ him completely. So he’s got this huge buldge on his belly that I assume holds his one family jewel. I couldn’t give him away if I tried. Zane, completely grey–no tabby stripes. He’s the hellion of the family and has such an ‘I’m better than you are attitude’ that few can stand him. I think he’s hilarious. ---

I have a little sweetie named Lela. She’s got a great personality, never bites or scratches and only mildly complains about the cat carrier. She’s very petite (looks like a baby) but the vet guesses she’s about 5 (judging from the tartar on her teeth). Her fur is shiny black with a chocolate-colored undercoat. Unfortunately the poor dear has cancer. She’s got tons of Mast Cell tumors, inside and out (sometimes we call her Lumpy Lee). We just had her spleen removed in hopes that she could better fight the tumors, but I fear it isn’t working. Now we have to talk about chemotherapy, but I don’t think I want to put her through that. Has anyone else had a cat go through chemo? I think I may have to start a thread because I’m really torn about what to do. I was so looking forward to the next 10 years with her, but now I just try to treasure each day.
