I met a handful of dopers through Cactus Waltz last year, before I started actively posting here. They were so rockin’ that I started being active here. Which reminds me, I’ve been MIA the last few MI doper meets and I really want to hang out with you folks again. ---

I’ve met many, having been to get-togethers in Toronto (many), Montreal, New York, San Francisco and Tokyo (many). I’ve also been to gatherings in East Lansing, Michigan and London (the UK one) with many people who are from other boards, but with a lot of overlap with this one. ---

I too have added to my ranks. I’ve done the Michigan Dopefests which yielded **Queen Tonya** , **cmyk** , **Least Original Username Ever,** **Heller Highwater** , **cactus\_waltz** , **rikc** , **Kozmic** , **Fiveroptic** and a slew more I’m probably forgetting. Last night I had cheesecake and good conversation in Times Square with **IlluminatiPrimus, ppbth, pseudotriton ruber ruber, zebra, Annie X-mas, jackdavinci,** and **accidentalyuppie**. (And I waved at **CWN** , \*\*Little Nemo \*\*and **Eyebrows of Doom** from across the table. Nice to meet you!) For those of you who haven’t met anyone–get thee to a Dopefest. The most remarkable thing about them is that they are always ridiculous amounts of fun, no matter who shows up. It’s like the SDMB in 3-D. Magic always happens. There truly is something, some nebulous quality, that binds us all together. No matter where you go, there is a Dopefest waiting to embrace you with open arms. ---
