I’d love to go, but if the drive’s more than, oh, an hour and a half, I’ll have to pass. Also, if the place is too expensive, since we have to save a good chunk o’ change for The Move. ---

You see, there are two foods that **RickQ** hates above all others–cheese and tomatos. He would rather eat bugs. Now, you can make a pizza without cheese and you can make a pizza without tomatos, but you can’t make one without either. In other words, can we go someplace beside Pizza Papalis (as much as I like it)? In the spirit of don’t criticize unless you offer a solution, I checked the chowhounds midwest board. Several people recommended Laikon, which is at 569 Monroe Street. Here is a review I found online: “In the heart of Detroit’s Greektown, the Laikon offers good Greek food in a lively and comfortable environment. A variety of lamb dishes, fried squid, avgolemono soup, flaming cheese and, of course, Greek salad are among the favorite dishes. The bar, nestled beneath the stairway leading up to the balcony, has an intimate and friendly feel that many patrons swear by.” I like the 7:00 suggestion. 🙂 ---

I prefer the greek restaurant idea to the pizza place as well. I havn’t had good greek food in a long time (well except for some coney island gyros) 7:00 is a good time for me. Should be able to get my beauty sleep in and be bright eyed and bushy tailed. ---

Next Michigan Dopefest is at Athenas! I miss the UP. I once heard a story that Michigan got the UP in a trade by giving Toledo to Ohio. I think we got the better part of the deal. ---

Fashionably late here, checking in. Live in Ann Arbor, although I am not a native. I used to instigate a lot of Michigan Dopefests and I’ve not done that so often lately. We lost some people to moves and we lost Persephone; it just kinda took the wind out of my sails I guess.
