# How many Settlements does Israel Need?

I am unaware of the Romans causing mass migrations of conquered people. Do you have a cite? Where did they get all the extra Romans?

I don’t think there were quite as many falafel and shwarma places back then as there are now.😉

What I find incredibly interesting is the number of parks, displays, and memorials around the area dedicated to the Battle of Beersheva during WW I. The [Beersheva War Cemetery](https://rslvirtualwarmemorial.org.au/explore/cemeteries/84) is immediately below one of our bedroom windows. This being the centennial anniversary of the battle, the city has several events planned that I’m hoping to attend.
