18, all really old. I don’t automatically subscribe. I subscribe to threads in which I have posted something that I believe may result in responses that I really should reply to. Apparently that’s a rare belief on my part.

Ditto, but I also unsubscribe from threads after a while if I’m bored of getting the emails from them, and umm, I’ve only been here two years, so tens of thousands of thread ubscriptions are a bit out of reach for me!

Zero. I don’t subscribe. I hate getting emails or PMs about it. I generally search for my posts if I can’t find one I’ve posted to, and if I’ve been following, but not posting…then, oh well, I probably wasn’t that interested anyway.

I have e-mail notification turned off. I mean, the thread subscriptions only really make a difference to me in two ways: they show up on my user CP and the threads show up with little check marks on the boards. it’s pretty non-intrusive.

This. It seems a lot less of a hassle to just do a vanity search every time you log in.
It would be neat if this board could Text your phone anytime someone quoted one of your posts. That way you could give a quick response if one is required.

But…I don’t have to search at all. I literally just hit “User CP” and there are all the threads I posted to that have activity. When I’m away from the boards, I get nothing, no e-mails, no PMs, nothing.
It’s not even remotely a hassle, once you set it up.

2313, but there are plenty that I have unsubscribed from - at least another 250, 500, something like that.
I auto-subscribe, then, on each visit, make User CP my first page view to see if any responses to any of my posts. If so, read / respond, if not, on to “New Posts”

Same here. Believe it or not but if I’m not on the board, I don’t really care what’s going on and I don’t need emails telling me about threads.
Also, I use New Posts for a lot of my board reading so doing a vanity search all the time would interfere with being able to actually read stuff.

You can have a subscription that sends you neither email nor PM, just updates your Control Panel when there is a response in a thread in which you’ve posted.

No, we have two televisions in the house. The one down the cellar is not connected to cable, but does have a VCR and DVD player. To watch movies.
The one in the living room is about ten years old, and I think it is a 27 or 29 inch screen. Good enough for the sitcoms and reality shows I watch for entertainment.
But I don’t subscribe to threads. If I can’t recall participating in a thread, it must not have held my interest enough to follow through.

None. I do sometimes subscribe to threads, but I delete them when they become in active.
