How many times do I have to say, "I don't know!"?

Oh, talk to the hand.

I’m not familiar with this expression, but from my end no insult was intended. I meant “whatever” in that the details were unimportant, and I was not intending to pick on you.

Like yourself, most likely, I spent a disproportionate amount of time studying these formulas as compared to using them, so when the opportunity arises…

Peace, brother.

Izzy, kabbes:

You see, this kind of unpleasantness is why I just use my calculator.

No problem. People have different triggers here. That’s to be expected.

Holy cow! I think I see a group hug coming. :stuck_out_tongue:

I have big skanky love for each and every one of you.

lieu’s first. He’s my knight in shining armor.

Love ya lieubaby.

Ditto Gazelle.

But (heh) check on that freakin’ balance, would ya?

I will, I will! Jeez. You’d think it was your mortgage we’re refinancing here…

Which reminds me. How much do you owe? What are your principle and intrest payments? Your tax payment? And your association fee?

(Izzy, just in case you were serious – because I’m not sure who’s whooshing who here – “talk to the hand” is a typical Ricki Lakish response to “whatever”. I was just kidding with you and I certainly was not offended at any point at all. It’s all good.)

Now, about that group hug. Who needs a bit of kabbes-belly?

pan

I won’t quibble about the formulae in use, but will just say “$100k morgage, 6yrs/30yrs in, would be $80k, umm… but parabolic, OK, it’s somewhere between $80 and $100 k. If you need it any more exactly I can find out.”

The rep was being reasonable in that most people have some idea - say a range - but could have phrased it a lot better, as a lot of people are uncomfortable with guessing.
