Male, 46. Generally I don’t get up to pee at all, except maybe if I’ve had a particularly large quantity of fluid the night before- beer will definitely do it. That’s usually on a weekend night, and even then, what happens is that I wake up at my normal weekday time, realize I have to pee and that I’m not falling back to sleep unless I do. ---

Rarely do I sleep through the night without having to get up to pee at least once. I don’t turn on any lights and keep my eyes closed! I’m usually able to fall right back to sleep. It doesn’t matter if I drink a lot during the evening or not. Sometimes I drink a couple of glasses of water before bed because I’m so thirsty. Those are the nights I usually sleep through without having to get up 😕 The worst thing for me to eat during the evening is watermelon or cantaloupe. If I do, I will be up 3 or 4 times to pee. They’re my favorite things to eat during the summer so I only eat them before 6pm. ---

Female, 47, once (usually around 3:00-4:00 AM). I need to figure out what time I should stop drinking water/soda in the evening so I don’t wake up in the middle of the night. ---

Male, 44. Lots. At least 2-3 times. 4-5 times is routine. More than that isn’t unusual by any means, especially when I can’t fall asleep (going to the the toilets beats lying on my bed, waiting get some sleep). I wouldn’ t be surprised if it was every 30 minutes during such episodes. ---

Male 58. It really varies. Either twice up to 6-7 times. I really depends on how well I’m sleeping. If something wakes me up, could be a dog, or just rolling over, I think, well, I might as well or I’m gonna lay here thinking about it. We have an ‘in-suite’ bathroom that is just a few steps away. I did get Tamsulosin (flowmax) from my Doc, doesn’t seem to help. I think part of it may have to do with my desk job. I get up to stretch my legs about once an hour, and… well… I might as well take a pee. ---

Male, 63. Two to three times a night is normal for me. I have the bad habit of drinking a glass of water when I’m up anyway. If I don’t, I can get it down to one or two times, but wake in the morning with a very dry mouth. ---

Female 40. Type 2 diabetic. Never, anymore. A few years ago I went through a period of getting up every morning around 3 AM to pee, or if I didn’t, I woke up at my regular having to pee super super bad. Then I got my CPAP machine and I haven’t woken up to pee once. I also get out of bed in the morning and can feed the dogs before I have to pee. So, whatever the CPAP did to me, it stopped making me wake up to pee! ---

Male - 55 - usually zero. On the rare occasion when I do get awakened by the need to pee it is usually pretty close to time to get up anyway. ---

You can be pretty sure it’s urine if you wake up and a Russian hooker is still in the bed. If you wake up alone it really doesn’t matter. ---

Male, 82, diabetic. Always at least once. The number of times depends more on salt intake than fluid. Tonight I am eating at a restaurant and will probably not get up more than once. But assuming I resume my usual low salt diet, then either tomorrow night or Saturday night I could get up 3 times, very rarely more.
